YUCK! Thank God this guy is out of college, I am so sick of his coverage and Roy Williams really needs to be removed from the world. Also Stuart Scott needs to go bye bye.

well we won't ever have to hear about him again now, unless ESPN starts showing league games from Lithuania

Man, Im not a UNC fan (in fact, they cost me my pool so I dislike them strongly) but I don't get the hate towards Tyler. Dude won a national title, 4-time 1st team All-America...I think it's a little thing called jealously.

Ed James, no, it isn't. That video makes me want to puke.

ED James, here's the reason I don't like Hansbrough and am really glad he's done. As great a player as he is and as great a career he had, I haven't watched a player pout and sulk after EVERY SINGLE CALL that didn't go his way like he did for four years (and worse the last two) since Christian Laettner. And no one really liked him either.

Please, like he's the first guy to pout after a call in basketball. I just think the hate is irrational.

Laettner was a douchebag of the highest degree and took pleasure in playing the bad guy role, much like Reddick did with Duke. I think Tyler got too much love from ESPN and that automatically turned the Internets against him. It doesn't help that he's a white guy with decent skills who succeeded...makes all the other white guys who can't play jealous.

I'll let the idiocy of that comment speak for itself.

You do bring up a good point, though, Ed James, ESPN did give him WAY too much love. IMHO, he is not even the best player on that team, but that's besides the point. ESPN shoves him down our throat every opportunity that they can get. And that's where a lot of the the hate comes from; people are sick and tired of hearing about him. But TomahawkFlop is also right. That kid complains way too much when a call does not go his away and it gets annoying beyond belief.

@Ed James, like you, I don't hate Hansbrough as much as other people.

But he does get way too much face time. Also he get's the Tebow type of hype which comes off really annoying.

I'm just glad Wayne Ellington got the Final Four MVP. Ellington and Lawson will be NBA stars and Hansbrough will be the MVP of the Azerbaijan league, far away from us. Thank heavens!

What happened to Jim Nantz last night? I was really disappointed in the fact that he didn't have a cheesy line for Carolina winning it all.

@SportsFanatic

As time ran out, Nantz did say something like, "Since the start of the tournament, no one has been finer. Championship for North Carolina!"

Pretty dull compared to some of his past lines. Maybe someone told him to tone down the over-the-top cheesiness.

I'm so jealous of Hansbrough. It's uncontrollable. DAMN MY WHITENESS AND LACK OF SKILLS!

It is definitely the constant push that ESPN gives that dude that fuels my hate. You know what though it seems that type of player just thrives in the ACC maybe its the water in NC that causes these hyped players to become big time d.bags.
Oh well the season is over and know we always have to hear how great Roy Williams is as a coach, I can't wait to hear about him cheating on his wife or doing something to knock him off his ego pedestal.

I really don't get your complaining about Williams and Hanbrough.

Tyler stayed in college for all four years, a breath of fresh air in a time when everyone wants to jump straight to the NBA. I like guys who want to stay in college and win a championship as opposed to sitting on the bench for a crappy team and making millions.

As for Williams- what's your problem? There are so many coaches who are either overpaid or just not that good- here's a guy who went back to his alma mater, not because he wanted to be paid or get a big contract. When a college is that close to your heart, I didn't blame him for leaving (same reason Huggins went to West Virginia).

Much better than hearing about idiot coaches like Wade Phillips or overrated guys like Billy Gillespie.
