Billy Gillispie Is Not A Fan Of Sideline Reporters

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

In the pantheon of terrible sideline reporter questions, this one by Jeanine Edwards during the Kentucky-Ole Miss game wasn't the worst per se, but it definitely got a reaction out of Wildcats' Coach, Billy Gillispie. Listen closely around the :18 mark....

Again, if a question like that is what sets Gillispie off, I don't know what that says about his demeanor, but that still doesn't mean the reaction wasn't hilarious. I love how he shrugs his shoulders after saying it's a dumb question. Also, good job by Edwards though to plow ahead with an even hackier sideline reporter question following the dig.

When all else fails, go to the well.

That's the first time Billy Gillispie has spoken without boring me into a coma.

She should have asked him about one of his mentors that has died a la Danyelle Sargent.

Billy, you're a really bad coach too. Believe me, I've spent extensive time in El Paso and there are some sections of the city where there's 50 feet between directions on a street with one-way traffic and you were going the wrong direction. Stupid moron.

Brad James-
Gillispie was Coach of the Year in the SEC last year in his first season at UK. How does he strike you as a "really bad coach"?
