T.O. Talks About ESPN's Lies, To ESPN

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

So I lied about yesterday's T.O. post being the last, but when Terrell Owens and Stephen A. Smith get together, you know I have to post on it. Owens sat down with S.A.S. to talk all things Witten, as well as the "lies" fabricated by one Ed Werder. Here it is if you missed it....

In the back of my mind, I think that this has to be something that ESPN and the Cowboys made up on their own. I just picture Jerry Jones, and the "Leader's" John Skipper, just laughing while clinking brandy snifters and smoking cigars. It just blows my mind that a player would be pissed at a network for lying about him, but his reaction is to conduct an interview on said network.

What's even worse than that though, is how the just complete threw Ed Werder under the bus in doing so. But nice decorating ESPN. Did Stephen A. provide the Poinsettias?

5 Comments:

Ed Werder should kick T.O.'s ass.

ESPN never had much respect from me, and with this little shenanigan they've lost even their own self-respect. SAS is a tool. If I was Ed Werder I'd be PISSED.

At this point ESPN has to be looked at like Leviathan. Each tentacle has it's own brain and is doing it's own thing. Sometimes they'll end up fighting each other but it only serves to make the beast bigger and badder.

It's not like TO could go anywhere else to clear the air, especially in midweek. And certainly he couldn't go anywhere else to complain about Werder if he wanted ESPN to report on it, which practically meant he had to go to ESPN and not, say, NFL Network if he wanted it to be talked about anywhere except the blogosphere.
