2009 Pro Bowl Rosters Announced

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Not much else going on this cold winter eve, so I thought I'd give you your first look at the NFL Pro Bowl Rosters so you can debate them until the cows come home. A few snubs off the top of my head so far include: Cutler and Favre over Rivers, Calvin Johnson, Patrick Willis, Jon Beason, D'Qwell Jackson, Greg Jennings and John Abraham.

Obviously with the talent at some of those positions, it would be tough for them to make it on the list, but all of them have a case. Especially Philip Rivers. I don't care if a legacy like Favre gets in, but it's a crime that Cutler is in ahead of him. Here's your list....

Sorry but John Carlson should've been in.

Cooley had 73 catches......but 1 touchdown. Carlson had 51 catches and caught a TD pass from 3 different QBs in a disastrous season.

Redskins should not have gotten that many Pro Bowlers, but I guess that's what happens when AA gets bored and votes for 5 hours straight. ;-)

Where is the world is DeAngelo Williams on this list?

However, the voting was done well this year.

Wait a minute, you mean to say that Shawn Suisham is not the kicker for the NFC?????? How can this possibly be?? Who cares if he misses a lot of kicks? He has the potential to be the best damn kicker in the NFL and no other kicker can say that and he is just da bomb! And what about Cornelius Griffin! OMFG! These "other people" who have the 66% say in the Pro Bowl are all Redskins haters! HATERS! THEY SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF THIS TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE!

Okay, that was all sarcastic (and to all the Redskins fans who homerized their votes, well-deserved sarcasm). Looking at this list, seriously, the biggest surprise for me is Cutler is in instead of Roethlisberger.

same with Jon Beason...

I wish the fan voting started later in the season, a few of these guys fizzled out after great first halves, Cutler for example...

Since this game usually sucks and to build some entertainment, the skill positions should be determined by overall fantasy rank at the end of the season.

Say what you want to about how stupid Redskins fans are, but London Fletcher never going to a Pro Bowl is almost a crime.

Neither is Jason Peters. Pretty sad state when he is the only Bill to make the Pro Bowl.

Jason Hanson got screwed. He was by far he best kicker in the NFC this year, even if he does play for the lowly Lions

I just can't get worked up about Jason Hanson or Calvin Johnson getting "screwed" out of the Pro Bowl.

Maybe Cutler got in instead of Big Ben because Cutler is better than Big Ben. Just a thought.

Yeah but Phil Rivers throws funny. That's enough for me considering I have never watched a Pro Bowl.

Rivers should go in ahead of Cutler, eh? That's almost as ridiculous as Charger "fan" saying that San Diego always gets screwed over by the officiating.

BRAD JAMES...INSTEAD OF FAVRE NOT CUTLER. HE HAS 28 TD AND 11 INT AND 101 PASS RATING. I KNOW THEIR TEAM SUCKS BUT SO WHAT. WALTER JONES AND PATRICK WILLIS ARE PRO BOWLS COMING FROM BAD TEAMS.

lamar woodley is much more deserving then terrel sugs. woodley and harrison are the best combo and they should be together in the pro bowl

Maybe Rivers didn't get voted in is because nobody can stand him. He is definitely not a class act and folks can't stand to watch the spew of words coming out of his mouth.
