The Jets Digitally Bring Michael Strahan Out Of Retirement

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

Uniwatch via Sports by Brooks came across a really weird feature on the New York Jets website yesterday. Well the feature is a look inside their new stadium, which isn't weird per se, but rather a jersey worn by a woman on one of the virtual concourses. Take a look....

Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is a woman wearing a green Strahan jersey out amongst the other Jets fans. Maybe the Jets know something that we don't know.

Good to see he is still in playing shape.

As was discuss at UW yesterday, you'll also notice: a vendor selling a Giants jersey in the background, the second kid on the left wearing what looks like a Shockey jersey that was changed from blue and green, and there's another kid wearing a Shockey jersey at the concession stands (though it's cut off on the left hand side of this photo).

Wasn't Wayne Chrebet #80?

The Shockey jersey turned green as a tribute to his crippling case of syphillis.

In the larger pic, there's a green #17... obviously that's a Plaxico jersey painted green, or is the guy the only owner of a David Clowney jersey? (Or maybe it was a throwback Quincy Carter or Tim Dwight)

if im not mistaken, the stadium is gonna be shared by the jets and the giants right? so they just kept the same virtual model, filled with giant fans, and painted them green

There are a lot of Giants fans who go to Jet games because they simply have no patience for the 25+ year waiting list.
