Cris Carter Sees No Reason To Stop Piling On The Cowboys

Monday, December 29, 2008

Cris Carter hasn't been making any friends in Dallas, and probably won't be doing so anytime soon. The ESPN analyst was caught a week ago saying that a Cowboys' Playoff run would be a "a discredit to team sports" and to "team unity", but he added a final parting shot to T.O. on Mike and Mike this morning.

"If it was me, I'd get rid of T.O. T.O. got to go from the beginning. Right from the giddy up. I take one bullet and put it right in him. Bam!"- Cris Carter

Well then. I mean he's right, but he didn't have to say it quite so harshly if you ask me. Using the phrase "putting a bullet in someone" isn't really going to go over well when you're talking about the NFL. Especially in recent years.

I'm no T.O. apologist, but you could take out Owens' name and insert Jerry Jones, Roy Williams (both), Pacman, or Romo (yes, Romo) and draw the same conclusion as to what ails the Cowboys. The only players that played with heart all year were Ware and Barber. There is plenty of blame to go around, don't let the 'Boys off the hook by blaming one person.

I think he's right on the money. I put these thoughts in my blog but seeing as it fits this situation, I'll copy and paste it onto here.

"'The Dallas Cowboys are just a bunch of talented individuals', [Joe Buck] said, and he could not be more right. There is no commorodity in Dallas. They are just a bunch of talented individuals wearing matching jerseys. That's it. They are not a team. And Jerry Jones thinks that money can buy championships. Guess what, Jerry, money can't buy championships. It never will. Look at the Patriots last year. Look at the Redskins every year. Look at you, Jerry. Mr. Publicity. Mr. Money Bags. What did it all get you? It got you blownout in Philly 44-6. Are you proud of yourself? And what are you going to do, Jerry? Spend more money? Try to build another team around the best collection of players. Instead, focus on building a team...."

There's more but I then go on to compare that to the Eagles.

*SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT*

T.O. must've introduced himself to Cris Carter as a blogger.

@ Hollywood Wags: Apparently a typo and a horrible misspelling that I didn't catch.

Should be comradery. As in there really isn't any closeness with the players in Dallas. They're all out for themselves.

Proofreading can escape me at 1 AM.

Sadly, having your blog hacked by Emmitt is just a rite of patches all bloggers must go through.

As a Sean Taylor fan, I find this kind of tasteless. But a Dallas hater, I think that every member of the team should face a firing squad.

What if his eyebrows jump off his face and decide to go on a killing spree?

I mean, it could happen...they attacked Randy Moss once...

Cris should just give him a bunch of over the counter pills to "accidently" take. :)

As a Dallas hater, I certainly hope that the Cowpukes keep Wade Phillips. And sign him to a lifetime contract.

I didn't know Cris Carter had a thug side.

He's cracking on the Cowboys so with that said, while Carter has his skeletons in the closet, I fully support him in his criticisms. If I could work my will, the Dallas Cowboys would never rise from mediocrity again. I like the Broncos and a good friend of mine likes the Bears. While we're both mad at our teams for choking, it makes life much more enjoyable when the Cowboys also fail.

AA,
I thought the whole reason for blogs is that you guys are unfiltered and politically incorrect. You're complaint about Chris Carter reeks of PC garbage. You guys are suppose to have a harder edge than the people employed by Disney.

Wait, did I just read Cris Carter chastising TO because of his being a bad teammate?

The same Carter who was a cancer in Philly and sent to exile in Minnesota? The same cancer who was always known as a selfish player?

Somebody please put a bullet in this selfish, hypocritical fuck before I do.

"You're complaint about Chris Carter reeks of PC garbage."

That means by that logic, complaints about TO who never said anything remotely as bad as Cris Carter did reeks of PC garbage 100 times more.
