SNF Live-Blog: Cowboys @ Redskins, Pre-Game Open Thread

Sunday, November 16, 2008

Thanks to an Anon in the previous thread, we have video of Donny Mac admitting he didn't know an NFL game could end in a tie.

Late game notes:

  • Tennessee up by three on the Jags right now; Kerry Collins threw a bomb of a TD pass to Justin Gage.
  • The Rams are truly pathetic. Niners up 35-9 at this point.
  • The Steelers hold an 8-7 lead on two FGs and a safety; LDT rushed for the Chargers' score....wait, SD just kicked an FG. 10-8, Bolts.
  • Seattle is down six to the Cardinals after scoring 13 unanswered.
Tonight: The Return of Romo, visiting FedEx Field and the division rival Redskins. Which owner is more megalomaniacal: Double J or Mini-Snyder? Answer that question and many more about FNIA in the comments, such as whether Peter King will note Romo's place in smiling royalty. Live blog starts at 8:15 EST.

Cripes, I forgot it was another lousy stupid Green Week from NBC...yeesh.

(am not opposed to campaigns about being more environmentally friendly, but this is being beaten over the head with it.)

Peter King seems to think that the Eagles would be better off benching McNabb over firing Ried. HELL NO! He cites the fact that Ried is the winningest coach in the past 10 years, but he fails to bring up the fact that Ried just no longer has the impact he once had. Ried is the problem in Philly, not McNabb.

Collinsworth rightly put him in his place.

Reed made his FG attempt to put Pit up on SD 11-10. Oh, Nantz has already let us know that if this stays the same way, it will be the first NFL game to end with that score.

@ssr, the Polomalu TD didn't count. So the Final score will be 11-10.

"Rosie Live". NBC's effort to kill the rest of the audience that Knight Rider and My Own Worst Enemy hadn't already driven away.

That was a priceless bit of Norv Face at the end of that game.

Hahahaha, if you get Fox Soccer Channel, Sky Sports News (England) is on and they are showing NFL highlights and apparently the Packers have a player named Greg Jenkies!

Yes, jfein. It used to be called Jack Kent Cooke Stadium in Raljon, Maryland. A tribute to yourself as it were...

@ jamescraven: No, that was me wrongly thinking it was Lanover, Maryland, not Landover Maryland.

did anybody watch the sunday 7pm edition of SC. Berman, Saunders, Dilfer and Jackson were talking about things they found immpressive this week in the nfl. Jackson was talking about the broncos fullback/linebacker that played both sides of the ball. Then Tom Jackson stated back in my day almost everyone went both ways.
Berman and the rest were laughing and then stated both sides of the ball.

How stupid is Donovan McNabb? He did not know that games could end in a tie? Has his head been up his ass all of these years?

Actually, both McNabb and reid have had each other's heads up their asses for a decade.
