Your MLB Playoffs Announcing Schedule For The Weekend Of 10/4

Friday, October 03, 2008

Obviously none of the announcing teams are switching Series, but I wanted to still give you an easy guide if you were, say a Cubs fan, and didn't want Dick Stockton ruining your weekend. There are two games on both Friday and Saturday night, but if the Cubs and Brewers can pull out wins in each of their Game 3s, then we'll have a heck of a Sunday. Here's your schedule....all of the games are obviously on TBS and are EST....

Chicago White Sox at Tampa Bay Rays (Game #2, 6pm)- Don Orsillo, Harold Reynolds and Marc Fein
Boston Red Sox at Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Game #2, 9:30pm)- Chip Caray, Buck Martinez and Craig Sager
Inside MLB (Postgame)

Saturday, October 4th

10 Comments:

The Dick Stockton Curse should never be messed with...it's been like a funeral on the North Side the past couple days.

I knew there was something funny about the Phillies-Brewers broadcasting. I couldn't figure out why the announcing was so biased until I see here that Brian Anderson is a Brewers announcer. WTF!!@!@#

Makes my heart sing that the Phillies are beating the crap out of the Brewers.

I HATE TBS

you think TBS is purposely doing this to piss off FOX? sending stockton to chicago i mean. sure the dodgers get good ratings but the cubbies would probably pull them in more. philies-dodgers won't be bad though

as long as the AL representative is the Rays im good

I don't want to say that I will pay the person who happens to "cause" the death of Dick Stockton...but I will totally pay the person who causes the death of Dick Stockton.

Up to, and including, tens of dollars plus an extra value meal at your choice of American fast-food restaurants.

You know, if you're interested....

Am I alone in thinking Tony Gwynn has been their best announcer? At least he knows what the heck he's talking about.

@W_Robb- the Sawx used the "Curse of the Bambino" for 86 years. When your team hasn't won anything for so long, you blame everything(and everyone), other than the team itself. For years, many Cardinals fans(myself excluded) blamed the team's futility on Don Dekinger's call in Game 6 of the '85 World Series. That's just fucking stupid, ya know?

@Lammy742- no, you're not the only one. Gwynn knows his shit, unlike some other analysts whose names I won't mention; cough*Harold Reynolds*cough...
