Emmitt On Matt Cassel's, "Rites Of Patches"

Monday, October 20, 2008

Man, it's been a good while since we've had a great Emmitt quote. Well I finally have one to add to his laundry list of crimes against the English language. Here is Smith trying to use the phrase "rite of passage" when describing Matt Cassel's leadership....

>

As soon as he tried to break out that Cassel is, "stuck between a rock and hard place," I knew that one was going downhill. Thanks for that Emmitt....it's great to have you back.

Back? He's there every week. I watched that live and was laughing at this idiot.

Emmitt reminds me of the old In Living Color character that used to just string words together.

Emmitt is priceless. Whether or not Brady is coming back and Matt Cassel can or can't be the leader of the team, I'd take 3 TD's and 0 INT's from my QB any day.

Yeah, but he picked the frickin Pats to win.

In Emmittese: Simply because == sympathy cause.

So Cassell needs to make plays, throw the ball, but there's no way Cassell can make plays and throw the ball to get those leadership qualities, even if he plays well, because Tom Brady is coming back.

Holy hell.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

How does Steve Young keep himself from laughing? It's like that old show "Make me Laugh".

I agree with Steven. Young saying "I couldn't have said it better than that" just clinched it for me.

I am sure you realize this has everything to do with the huge injuries the Broncos are dealing with. Seriously, the patriots are not going to make the playoffs.

You have to get the post game interview with emmitt asking seymour questions. He asks the most long winded non-logical question ever and seymour says "great question." It's classic.

"Seriously, the patriots are not going to make the playoffs."

The Patriots are one of FIVE teams in the AFC that currently have a winning record. The AFC has taken a huge step back this year in terms of elite teams, there is a hell of a lot more parity and you'd be nuts to think the Pats dont have a shot to make the playoffs.

Berman: "We got Emmitt"

But "got Emmitt" sounded like "God Dammit"

Appropriate
