Mike Wilbon Is Not A Fan Of Long Pants

Thursday, July 31, 2008

I swear I watched the entire episode of PTI last night and I didn't notice this, but thank to the eagle eye(s) of Mister Irrelevant we have the best photo to come out of Bristol since...well, link.

It's not out of the ordinary for announcers and TV hosts to go sans pants, but it's another thing entirely to see it on air....

I remember a few months back, I saw Jalen Rose wearing some white high tops during an NBA Fastbreak segment, but this is awesome. It almost seems like a Penn & Teller trick it's so out of place.

The Only Thing Michael Wilbon Hates More Than Sports Bloggers Is Pants (Mister Irrelevant)

Hate to call old news on you guys, but this happens every summer. Last year I inquired if Wilbon was actually wearing no pants at all.

I was told Mike likes to wear shorts in the summer. Every so often they sneak it on camera.

Yeah, he does this all the time, I've seen it at least 5 times on camera and Tony has made comments about it too. Come on AA, you're better than that.

I realize this is hardly important but it points to the absolute sham that is the on-air dress code of all sports shows. What exactly do these people think they are reporting on that it requires a suit?

I've seen Kruk get caught on BBTN wearing really white tennis shoes with his size 62 suit. Looked awful and some producer should have been written up for the error.

They don't need to wear pants, they are just seen on camera from the top and not the bottom. Even though, they should have covered the table.

USA Today mentioned this post (along with Mr. Irrelevent's) in it's Page 3 column.
