On-Air Curses Surprise Mike Patrick

Thursday, June 26, 2008

You may have already seen this on Deadspin's Morning Video Wake Up Call, which I'm putting together each morning, but I thought it deserved a spot here. Georgia player Matt Cerione struck out and he was none too happy with the call as ESPN's cameras followed him into the dugout (:37 secs)....

Too funny. Anytime you surprise Mr. Britney Spears you've done well in my book. Bravo Mr. Cerione.

I'm just surprised that Patrick wasn't talking about Amy Winehouse when the last out was recorded.

Mike patrick isn't allowed to announce any more GA games. He's done. It's gone on too long. The whole series he talked only of fresno state and how "tough" they were.

Patrick would have to be 50 times better in order to be... Brent Musburger.

I thought they instituted a 5-second rule for the "Wired" stuff after the incident during (of all things) the Little League World Series where in a state of excitement one kid said "we just need one f***ing run" (or something to that effect with the f-bomb inclusion). I guess that only applied to Little League.
