At Least Van Gundy Has His Priorities Straight

Friday, June 13, 2008

I'm cleaning out the video inbox a bit this morning, but wanted to share this one as well. ABC came back from a break with two minutes left and wanted to get some quick analysis from Mark Jackson. Well that would have been fine if they hadn't already started playing Basketball again.

The only one who seemed to notice was Jeff Van Gundy who let the cameraman know right away....

Say what you want about the guy's crazy diatribes, but at least he cares there's two minutes left in one of the most exciting Finals games ever. Good for you JVG, but next time just interrupt Mark Jackson and call the action on the floor. No one cares what he has to say anyway (Just kidding....actually, wait...I'm not).

You can generally fill in the blanks with what Mark Jackson's saying. 97 percent it's verbal fellating of Kobe.

What makes it funnier to me is that I think that is a fixed camera (so there's no cameraman), which means JVG was giving the director and producers his best stink face to tell them the game is going on...good stuff!!

I guess this makes up for Van Gundy saying it's over in the first quarter. Oh wait, it doesn't: http://thebiglead.com/?p=6250

I'm just not buying these three as an "A" broadcasting team. They've had their time to grow but they still suck.

Picking on Mark Jackson? As Mark himself would say, "Come on AA - you're better than that."

Mark Jackson is a cliche machine. I can't stand him.

Good vid. I did not catch the JVG finger motion. That was classic. No offense Mark but we wanted to see Kobe and his no offense.
