Introducing To The Celts-Cavs Fray.....Mama James

Monday, May 12, 2008

I'm not kidding you at all when I tell you that the lady getting into it during this tussle is Lebron James' mom. The crew discussed it at halftime and the woman in the white shirt is definitely Mama Bron.

What are the chances that someone fouls you hard and takes you into the crowd to your Mom!?!? Amazing....you can't make this stuff up.

Update: Here's the TNT Postgame Show explaining the whole thing....

Update: Looks like that gave Lebron all the motivation he needed.....

LeBron to Mom: "Sit yo *$*% down" (Odenized)
Lebron James "Has No Regard For Human Life!" (Awful Announcing)

That's hilarious.....a Celtic would've died if she was not restrained.

Way off topic, but if you're like me and hate reporters leading athletes into quotes they expect, you'll like Carlos Zambrano's response about the cold weather at Wrigley tonight. He said that it doesn't bother him, "because I'm from Alaska."

100% percent sure that isn't his girlfriend? she's been known to get feisty too...

@jon:

It's his mom. That would only be LeBron's girlfriend if he was Dwyane Wade.

I don’t care how old I get or how much money I make, I will never tell my mom to “sit your ass down.” My mom is almost 60, and she will straight up swing on me if I got out of pocket like that. Not a slap, but a roundhouse punch.

All the Mama drama aside, that was actually a really clean play by Pierce.

If you find yourself in the open court with Lebron you really only have 3 choices if you don't want to end up on a poster:

1) Pull up lame

2) Sweep the leg

3) Hold on for dear life and risk winding up on in the Upper Deck

That was one of the tamer, more considerate fouls Lebron has received all playoffs long.

I am (not) surprised that the mongoloids in Cleveland reacted so volatily.

It was actually good sportsmanship all around by the fellas. LeBron and Pierce shaking hands is something that the NBA could use more of.

Lebron really is class. Even gave the fist bump to Pierce.

"Labron really is class. Even gave the fist bump to Pierce." Wow...where I come from you don't EVER tell your Momma to "Sit your ass down!" no matter what she does. Thats not class man, its disrespect.

It wasn't that clean of a play and you could tell by lebrons actions in the stands (him throwing his hands high in the air) that he was irritated...then the whole mama-drama with her trying to step in front of a person who could sneeze and blow her away, thats just crazy. Props to Pierce, James and Garnett for showing good sportsmanship on the play.

and props to james for putting his mom in her place...even mothers need a helping hand...or a kick in the butt

That dunk wasn't THAT great. It was a good dunk but people make it sound like it destroyed KG. KG wasn't even the guy guarding him and didn't even jump to contest the show. He just ran to the spot but James was already in the air. Good dunk but over KG? No way.

Are you out of your mind? KG tried to push LeBron with two hands, and STILL got dunked on hard. KG got posterized. If you look close in the video, it looks like Paul Pierce is mouthing "ouch."
