If you hear/see something crazy please let me know about it in the comments and I'll be sure to post it during the Day 2 Quotes Post. Thanks a ton for sticking around and I'll see you late night tomorrow and/or Sunday.

CBS, why must you give us UNC v. Mount St. Mary's when there's OU-St. Joe's on at the same time? I mean, outside of fans of those two schools, absolutely no one wants to see that game.

My directv lists the upcoming game as Mt. Saint Mary's versus UNC-Wilmington.

Even they wish Chapel Hill would have a fence around it so no one could get out.

Mercifully, we get switched over at 37-23 UNC; headed for St Joe's-OU (tied at 20).

Is it just me (and Dish Network) or is everyone else not getting any of these games in Hi-Def?

Ugh, another afternoon of Wenzerjack.

I'm still puzzled why CBS put them in Washington and Gus in Denver. I know it was before Selection Sunday, but it was obvious Denver would be the site for the #4 seeds.

Brando just said Vandy was looking to give the SEC its first win in the tourney when Tennessee won about 6 hours ago... Brando is having a rough day

A UNC guy (Ginyard, I think) just completely blew a dunk. Would be a lot funnier if they weren't up 70-43 when it happened. (CBS, seriously, can you show us a game that isn't already over? Please?)

I've got the joy OU-St Joseph's in stereo since it is on the local CBS station and CSTV

Does Lundquist really need to say "Longar Longar" all the time? Just say "Longar", It's like he's mocking it, saying it for his own enjoyment.

Aside from UNC-MSM, all these games have gotten interesting all of a sudden at the end. MS State has come back to take the lead, St Joe's was down 19 and has cut it to 6, and Siena still leads by 14 over Vandy.

Did Raftery just say "Soomer Boomers"?

You weren't hearing things, spartandan. Raftery also made sure he used "alacrity" again earlier in the game.

Spanarkel: "The Ducks just ducked one, Ian."

That's it, I'm officially picking Villanova to win tonight. There is something funky going on in Tampa tonight.

Mar 21, 2008, 9:35:00 PM

Sorry, Willmott, that's the one I picked. So they'll be the only one in Tampa that doesn't make it.

I need every game the rest of the way tonight just to match my worst first round ever.

Uhhh... you keep track of your past bracket success spartandan? That's cool, I guess...

Is it just me, or does CBS have an incredible knack for switching to a game 30 seconds before a TV timeout?

Joe, I just happen to remember what my worst is. I have an absurd memory for random details like that.

Quote of the night

Tim Brando to Gminski after "saving" him from a loose ball

"I love the way you take care of me at night"

Wow....

Jim Nantz and Billy Packer are busy calling what happened at indiana with Sampson a tragedy. How's it a tragedy? He broke the rules and lost his job, no one died, no one's life was ruined--Sampson's got a job with the Spurs--how is there a tragedy here?

i'm voting that goddamn "jailbreak" dogs and beer commercial for most annoying advertisement of the tournament so far. It may not be the Applebee's commercial of '06 but it is REALLY getting on my nerves

No. I vote for the Georgetown/Appalachian State/Boise State/Georgetown/obligatory Michael Jordan shot Nike commercial.

Nothing like watching Nike jump on the bandwagon of the underdogs.

Indiana really can't rebound when Tubbo isn't in the game.

I don't know what it is about it, but that Chinese mail order bride advertisement on the page is mesmerizing LOL.
