Booth Assignments For Championship Week Released

Tuesday, March 04, 2008

You could probably figure out who is where based on the AA Announcing Schedule, but I figured I'd break it down for you. You know....so you know which Conference Championships to avoid.

Dan Shulman, Len Elmore and Doris Burke: Big East (4 games)
Sean McDonough, Bill Raftery and Jay Bilas: Big East (5 games), Metro Atlantic
Mike Patrick, Dick Vitale and Stacey Dales: ACC (3 games- Semis, Finals)
Brad Nessler and Jimmy Dykes: ACC (5 games), Colonial
Ron Franklin, Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe: Summit, Big XII (5 games)
Brent Musburger, Steve Lavin and Erin Andrews: Big Ten
Mark Adams and Jon Sciambi: Ohio Valley, MAC
Mark Adams and Eric Collins: Southern, Northeast
Dave Kaplan and Eric Collins: Big West
Charlie Neal and Stan Lewter: MEAC
Pam Ward: Atlantic 10 and Conference USA Women's Championships (just because)

Looks like I'm skipping the ACC Tournament this year.

Also from his website, we learned GUS is calling the Pac 10 title game next weekend.

Nantz and Packer like always for the Big 10 on CBS.

And if tradition holds...Terry Gannon and Steven Bardo are doing the WCC title game.

AA...I can't blame you for skipping out on the ACC semis and finals, but IMO Nessler and Dykes have been a pretty solid team this year.

If you live in ACC territory you won't have to skip the games. ESPN will be blacked out and you can watch on Raycom.

Oh I agree...I wasn't really a Dykes Fan, but he's good with Nessler. And you are correct Anon....Raycom it is!

Lundquist and Raftery have done the SEC championship for the past few years. So probably this year too.

In the past, Gus has done the Conference USA championship, while Enberg had done the PAC-10 championship. So this year they may be switching?

The other possibility is since Memphis has been high profile the year and SEC has been weak overall, CBS might put their no 2 team on CUSA (Lundquist and Raftery)

What's with the random NBA picture in that montage? All the way to the right, in the middle, is a player in a Pacers jersey...

Ha...good call. I didn't even notice that.

I keep thinking that, any minute, Jimmy Dykes is going to sell me a 1996 Ford Escort.

I guess I'll be watching ACC tourney on mute, since I dont live in ACC market and no access to Raycom.
