So Those Super Bowl Commercials Were Awesome Right?

Monday, February 04, 2008

To be completely honest with you I don't even remember a single commercial from last night. I think I saw the baby, and the unibrowed redhead, but I for sure remember the Sales Genie spots. There were about 8,000 before the game that were just plain dumb, but they saved the best one for the big game.

I give you racist pandas....

Are you kidding me? How can this get passed and the stupid "Go Daddy Beaver" commercial got axed??? Amazing. People continue to blow my mind every single day. I hope Sales Genie is happy with the millions of dollars they spent today.

Ling Ling's House of Bamboo Furniture. Come on.

There was the one with the Indian guy with the seven kids too, that was equally bad. I think my favorite commercial was the Doritos one with the huge rat blasting out of the wall and them just wailing on that guy. That was ridiculous

The lack of creativity and just basic stupidity of Madison Ave on exhibition. Pity those fools who pay a fortune for this mediocre crap!

Are you kidding me AA? How many times have you used the word "retard" or "retarded" on this site....that is insensitive as well. I enjoy the site, but it is comical how “politically correct” you seem to think you are and how quick you are to jump all over people when they make a not so “PC” comment. Lay off a little man.

That was the best game ever!!!! Why are you bloggers soooo mean.... there was alot of confusion and Randy Moss did stay...you fans sit on your high horses in judgement and say awful things... you guys are worst than the newspaper columnist eventually your vitriol will become white noise and you will become even less influential than the columnists... BTW American Girl is a good enough Superbowl Half-Time song... stop being such a snob... I have seen your picture and you are not even cute.

what is even more funny is it is true, ha!

"i have seen your picture" that must have been scary, but what may be even more scary is that someone has been checking you out.

Anon #1- I never said I'm the model for PC, but I also don't openly mock an entire race (and would never).

Anon #3- I love when 10 year olds get access to their parent's AOL account. Great comment.

About American girl...All women love that song for no reason whatsoever. It's like James' "Laid". Everything is opinion and my opinion is that I hate that song. Running down a Dream...great song.

doesn't really sound like a 10 year old to me.

RETARDS!!! There's a big difference between a blogger haphazardly using that word and a company basically saying that the Chinese are good at math and drive like shit.

If you are travelling through the blogosphere, drop your fucking morals because we don't want to hear about them.

Retards.

you didn't remember a single super bowl commercial aside from the racist panda commercial? did you even watch the game?

I honestly didn't think that commercial was that racist or offensive. The panda's that were/are at zoos around the country are named Tian Tian, Zhen Zhen, Mei Xiang, Tai Shan, Lun Lun, Hua Hua, etc. And pandas eat bamboo, if they were eating chinese food, had slanted eyes and were pronouncing all their L's as R's then it would be offensive.

Either way though, that's just my opinion, there's no reason for any asshole to get on here and start blasting people for their opinions.

Anyways, the Dorito's giant mouse was definitely the most memorable, and I enjoyed the thriller lizards, but that was just because I was many beers deep, I couldn't begin to tell you what it was for, so that was just a failure of an ad.

The Budweiser Rocky one wasn't bad, but Bud and Bud Light have stepped their game down in a huge way.

China is a nation. Chinese is not a race. (i.e., it isn't racist!) If anyone should be offended, it's pandas. How dare anyone suggest they stoop so low as to engage in commerce.

The conversation is idiotic though. Why do some people feel obliged to feel "offended" for other people? Why do some people watch the SuperBowl? Why do they talk about commercials? Stupidity, that's why. What a bizarre end to civilization, eh?
