Grrr! Clemens Smash!!!

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

So that was fun wasn't it? And it solved a whole lot of issues as well right??? Good, glad to hear. Just want to share the end of the whole mess that was the Congressional hearing if you didn't watch all five hours of the thing like I did (dumbest. idea. ever). Roger Clemens came pretty unglued during Congressman Waxman's closing statements and it was pretty hilarious. Enjoy...

Yep that about sums the day up. If you didn't watch I envy you. So who's the big winner in all of this? The NFL....I didn't even realize that Goodell's meeting on the Hill was today.

Contempt charges!!!

This stuff is best if handled by Judge Joe Brown or Judge Judy.

If you go to ESPN.com and Men's Basketball...under the picture of Kevin O' Neill that says:

"Around the Rim: Kentucky takes a pounding"

HAHAHA!

I get cranky looking at Waxman's nostrils as well.

Soooo, the Dems have so much free time that this jackass sits in on this farce?

I thought it was a time of change and all that horseshit.

Yeah, whatever...

How awesome is it to see Roger Clemens go down in flames. I love it. Hopefully Mike Piazaa will be able to throw a broken bat at Clemens when he is in jail

AA,

I love your stuff man, but please don't complain about how "terrible" it was to sit around and watch a pointless congress hearing (redudent terms?).

Most of us are reading this at our crappy jobs man, don't rub it in.

Waxman was always the last kid pick for a team in gym class and could never hit a Clemens fastball in a million years, so now he sits in judgement.

Ps. Henry is probably looking for the "high hard one" from Roger

Notice how some right wing douchebag has to come to a sports site to spread their fagotty assed bullshit about the "Dems."

Shut the fuck up you extra chromosome mother fucker.

Now. Waxman should have splintered the gavel and thrown it at him...Clemens would have been able to understand that!

I dont recall which congressman it was but one made the comment about how he read that congress has more important things to do. He went on to say that he felt this was important because the kids see this.

what a douchenozzle. I hope all his constituents in whatever god forsaken state he is from vote his ass out next time he comes up for election.

Also does anyone know why the House Oversight Committee which is supposed to look into over and/or uselss expenditures in he gov't is doing invesigating PED's?

Sorry Paterno....my bad. I'll try not to do that again until the tournament. Just kidding.

"Also does anyone know why the House Oversight Committee which is supposed to look into over and/or uselss expenditures in he gov't is doing invesigating PED's?"

they have jurisdiction to investigate ANY matter which has federal policy implications

people bitch about the congress getting involved with baseball, but baseball still owes the government their lives because of the antitrust exemptions they have, and because of that congress sees that they have a right to regulate baseball since they are not regulated like other interstate businesses

Remember the tobacco execs raising their hands ,saying they swore they believed that nicotine wasn't addictive? They didn't face contempt charges cause they pay off politicians. Those shitstains should be in prison getting a Cleveland Steamer nightly. And the players and trainers are taking the fall for what Selig and all the other suits(union included) knew was going on.Dan Burton making that speech made me want to puke:he was trashing Clinton at the same time as he(Burton)was having a kid with a woman not his wife.Burton was known as one of the biggest pussy hounds in Congress;he is truly a sperm burper.

congress has roughly a 150 day work year. if you think theyre wasting time on baseball maybe you should bitch about the fact that they barely work at all

I don't care if you talk about Politics here, but let's at least keep it civil folks. Geesh.

Feb 13, 2008, 7:33:00 PM

@mike georger

that number of work days will be even less this year when they take all of October off to campaign for an election most of them are guaranteed of winning.

mike patrick even made a comment about congress having better things to do than the steriod hearing.

I'm sure this will get far more coverage on Sportscenter than any NHL game played tonight unless there's a bench clearing brawl that puts somebody in a coma.

The trainer said that yes, he shot Clemens with HGH in the rear end.

He said everything but "Yeah, and I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids and their mangy dog!"
