Versus Finally Solves It's Weekend Program Conundrum

Thursday, January 17, 2008

It's not that often that a programming schedule this awesome comes out. To fill its void between Hockey and Bull Riding the network Versus has decided to occupy by the space with the best movie ever.

That's right folks.....Karate Kid Series. Take a look.....

1/21/2008- 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm THE KARATE KID

1/21/2008- 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm THE KARATE KID: PART II

1/21/2008- 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm THE KARATE KID III

1/21/2008- 10:30 pm - 12:00 am THE KARATE KID

1/22/2008- 12:00 am - 1:00 am THE KARATE KID

1/22/2008- 1:00 am - 3:00 am THE KARATE KID: PART II

1/28/2008- 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm THE KARATE KID

1/28/2008- 11:30 pm - 12:00 am THE KARATE KID

1/29/2008- 12:00 am - 2:00 am THE KARATE KID

1/29/2008- 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm THE KARATE KID III

2/9/2008- 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm THE KARATE KID III
While these programming choices are awesome in its own right, there has to be space in there for the Next Karate Kid somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear from Hilary Swank on this one.

Bill Simmons just put his kids in daycare so he could spend the day reliving this series.

Then he can write another bag of dreck about how KK3 "didn't happen"

Good times, eh Bill?

Remove the words "The Karate Kid" and insert the word "Poker," and you have ESPN2's weekday lineup when they don't have a college basketball game!

Sweep the leg.

J.J, very true. ESPN2 and ESPN Classic.

@jj:

Either 'Poker' or 'Women's Trick Shot Pool.'

Easy, Rick, don't act like you don't watch. Who doesn't love the Black Widow? And who doesn't throw up at the mere mention of Karen Corr?

@gmoney:

I've seen it before, but it's the same five chicks every time they show it. I didn't know Janet Reno (Corr) was so good at billiards. There was a time (10 years ago?) when ESPN had NFL cheerleaders playing pool....

Sorry, but I'm anal:

it's = "it is"
its = showing possession of something

Isn't that possessive since it's Versus' programming schedule?

Yes, it should be possessive, "To fill it's void" should be its, not it's. I'm so glad I'm not the only apostrophe-obsessed person reading sports.

It does say "To fill its void". It is correct.

It is correct NOW. I'm glad to see that AA will correct typos and such, that's good work.
