Sugar Bowl: Hawaii - Georgia
Rose Bowl: USC - Illinois
Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma - WVU
Orange Bowl: VT - Kansas
Championship: LSU - OSU

Okay you all asked for it....I'll just take my notes live....

Charles Davis is about the only member of the Studio Team that really knew what he was talking about

No one cares about the "Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year" but FOX felt the need to tell us the finals after only one team had been released. They also decided to drag things out with only one team named after 20 minutes of television.

Missouri is out, and I think that's just crap. You can only have three teams from one conference and even though they beat Kansas they're left out.

ESPN seems to be having much more fun. Lou Holtz is talking a mile a minute. Georgia is out of the Championship Game.

There you have it. It's the Tigers and Bucks folks.....let's see how well those Bucks travel. Zelasko tried to get LSU's crowd into it and failed miserably. Ouch. Les Miles thanks the voters and is surprisingly still the coach of the Tigers.

Mark Richt blames the media for not being in the title game based on being a conference champion. Not a bad BCS if you ask me. Mizzou got screwed if you asked me, but I'm happy that LSU got in. Based on the system this is how we had it planned out.....let's see how well you travel OSU. It's going to be a hell of a crowd in the Dome.

"Zelasko has found herself in the middle of a frat house party." - Chris Rose (Via The Unreliable Narrator)

That's just wrong. What are your thoughts now everyone?

I'm sure I wasn't the only one that say Barry Switzer blow the cover on Hawaii before they were selected. Anyone have the video on that?

I'll take Question Mark and the points over Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl.

Slightly dirty but Jeannie never turns down an action.

With that said, there is no way the Sweater Vest escapes the state of Louisiana with a national title.

you can only have 2 teams from one conference. Suck it Missouri.

thanks a lot for this
I think every rational person had a good feeling that LSU was going to make the MNC after FOX was filming their whole team, and Chris Meyers was out in an empty hallway in Athens
FOX tried and failed to be CBS's March Madness show

great point Sam.

Also, how about the seemingly 30 sec pause after the question about being the coach in the NC game? Not the same tone as yesterday.

Yeah it was awkward at best, but I think they had to try their hardest to not let ESPN scoop them like they did TBS and the All-Star Teams.

Missouri is out...that is a little crazy. How many times are going to say "let see how ohio state travel" AA they travel well, should be a great game :)

can't believe that WV still made it...kinda makes me sick to my stomach.

So Missouri beat Illinois in St. Louis and Kansas in KC, was ranked higher than them in the final BCS Standings and gets passed over for BOTH of them for a BCS berth? Hell of a system they have

@ Jerome:

Who else besides WV from the Big East should go? Connecticut, who lost to WV 66-21? Pitt? Cincy? The Mountaineers won the Big East; they got the automatic berth.

@Sam:
Butts in the seats & Big 10-Pac-10 tradition is why Missouri got screwed by both Kansas & Illinois. I don't like that either.

So Missouri is punished for going to their conference championship game by beating Kansas? Hmmm...

Dec 2, 2007, 9:06:00 PM

When I saw "Scoop" Herbstreit on the ESPN show, I threw up a little in my mouth. You'd think they'd keep him as far away from this as possible. As far as the selections go, I have no dog in this fight, but Missouri got screwed. What's going to happen if in the next few years, there are three teams from either the SEC, Big 12, or ACC(hey, it could happen) ranked 1-2-3?

As an LSU fan, my DNA is programmed to hate everything that is Jim Tressell. However, he did have the line of the night.

"Is that according to your 'sources'?" Classic!!!

I'm surprised that everyone was waiting for the results. Once LSU was #2 in the coaches' poll (approx 2pm Eastern), it was academic.

when did tressel say that? and to what question?

OSU will travel well. My family got our packages tonight and the rep said the tickets were going fast. Should be a lot of fun in New Orleans. Go Bucks!

Apparently Rece Davis had picked up on a rumor that Tressell had posted the score to last year's BCS Title Game in the Locker Room as motivation. And Davis kept at it, asking the same question over 4 or 5 times in a row. Tressell was doing everything he could to avoid confirming it when he decided to unleash that blast.

It worked too, because Reece quickly moved on...

I missed June Jones' interview on ESPN's Bowl Show. Did June Jones say that Tim Tebow was a 'system quarterback' and that Colt Brennan would flourish in any system, but Tebow wouldn't?
