Bryant Gumbel Thinks An Injured Willie Parker Needs To Relieve Himself

Friday, December 21, 2007

I mentioned this last night, and lined up to some of the things Bryant Gumbel has said it isn't that crazy, but what in the hell is he talking about here?

The restroom? I'm confused. Did he mean locker room??? Oh forget it....I'm done trying to figure out Gumbel. Just get him the hell out of there please. Oh and congrats to Marshall Faulk for getting his jersey retired.....you need to go too. Oh and Deion....

You get the idea.

Update: Thanks to the commenters good ears it's clear that Gumbel said Dressing Room. Great work everyone.

I guess Willie couldn't go to the restroom because he broke his leg.

Maybe he went to the rest room in the dressing room.

He didn't annunciate very well, but it's clearly "dressing room." Listen to it again, this time without thinking about the joke.

Who would've thought Bryant Gumbel was an illiterate moron?

Ah...you are correct. But that leads to an even bigger problem. It's about the 40th time this year I couldn't understand what the hell he was talking about because he speaks like Kermit the Frog.

I'm trying to figure out if I'd rather listen to Phil Simms call a Patriots game or listen to those three morons again.

Gumbel spent Saturday night in San Francisco thinking it was Thursday night...during the Bengals-49ers game he kept saying over and over again it was Thursday night. You're talking about a guy who a) has no idea what day it is or b)doesn't think about what he's saying when he's reading copy. Props also to the folks in the truck who never corrected him.
