The Red Sox Win The World......Holy S**t, A-Rod Opted Out Of His Contract!!!

Monday, October 29, 2007

If I was Joe Buck and FOX I'd have the post follow the title, but lets just forgot about A-Rod (since he'll be on the Red Sox next year anyway) and let Boston celebrate.

Try not to be so annoying this go around Red Sox Nation, and be prepared to be back page new by noon tomorrow when ESPN starts airing fake press conferences with Steve Phillips explaining how each team will sign Alex Rodriguez.

Cue the Dropkick....

Well, I'd have to say it was a great season for the Sox and a fun one to be a fan of them. I suppose if we're going to spend all that money, we might as well win it all?

After video of DHL delivering the trophy, Steve Phillips said "they finally delivered Kenny Lofton's stuff."

Pretty sure the FOX crew had a bet going on how could say "Red Sox Nation" the most.

Peter Gammons on SportsCenter, pretty much gave A-Rod a verbal bitch slap about the timing of the whole thing...

"What's unfortunate here is the total disrespect for the game of baseball. This is a World Series. Dustin Pedroia and Jon Lester are doing something Alex has never done, play in a World Series game. To want the attention on this day, is kind of a sad commentary and it might be a little bit of buyer beware, because again...he's never played in a World Series game, maybe there's a reason."

Way to go A-Rod, you may have stuck it to the Yankees, but you just got owned by Peter Gammons.

Fox should concentrate on getting a couple of guys in the booth that know what's going on instead of bringing us the "big story." Case in point: Joe Buck telling us in the 8th that Francona might send Timlin back out there for another inning. That's going to be kinda difficult, Joe, seeing as Bobby Keilty just pinch hit for Timlin and went yard on the first pitch he saw. Kielty's homer was a minor detail for Joe and Tim, I guess, seeing as they spend all their air time fascinated over a Yankee team that couldn't make it out of the ALDS.
