Hank Aaron's Message To Bonds

Wednesday, August 08, 2007

There's a lot of different feelings floating around baseball today. So far I've read about disgust, feeling sick, resentment, acceptance, awesome, surreal, hatred, etc. etc. Some people are blaming Bonds for this entire mess, and I think that's unfair....all of these emotions need to fall on one person's shoulders, and that person is Bud Selig.

His attitude throughout this whole thing has been appalling. It's almost like he made his bed, but instead of lying in it, decided to sleep on the couch. Lucky for the rest of the world (and Baseball) someone has class.

Thanks Hank Aaron. Thanks for showing the rest of the world what being humble is all about.

Amen, AA.

I've been saying all along that Bonds isn't the one to blame just because he did the same thing a ton of other players were obviously doing during the same period of time.

Selig let the Steroid Era blossom & fester, just like he pushed the Juiced Ball Era to get fans back after the strike of 94.

He is a disgrace to the sport, and I think long after Bonds retires and the real truth finally comes out about how many players were roided up and how long Bud knew about it but chose to look the other way, the real villian of this mess will be exposed.

The only reason Hank filmed that speech was because Craig Sager had a gun pointed at his head.
