Wait, Keith Olbermann Dated Stalked Rebecca Lobo?

Monday, May 07, 2007

This is one of those stories/rumors that you automatically do not believe, but I guess anything is possible. Keith Olbermann, who has taken a random hiatus from the Dan Patrick Show, has some issues with stalkers. That's not the crazy part....the crazy part is that Keith is complaining about her when he used to do the same thing (I learned it by watching YOU Keith!!!).....

"Keith Olbermann is the last person who should comment on someone being stalked," snipes a source inside ESPN. "While [Keith] was at ESPN, he went out with UCONN women’s basketball player Rebecca Lobo a few times, but it didn’t end there."

According to our insider, Olbermann wouldn't leave Lobo alone once she decided she was no longer interested, and reportedly starting keeping tabs on her by monitoring her calls and persistently writing her notes.

Says the tipster, "Lobo was close to taking out a restraining order against him, but spared him—and herself—the negative publicity that would have ensued."
Hey, Lobo.....not that your career isn't going anywhere, but with all of the Harassment issues at the World Leader....you might want to just let this cat out of the bag now. Lord knows, it'll come out soon enough.

(P.S.- Does anyone know of an online "If they Mated" generator? We could have some fun with that photo above.)

I don't think it was a "random" hiatus. He was in California last week to do the Republican presidential debate, and the timing didn't work out.

I'm not sure the "If They Mated" generator is necessary. I'm just imagining a horse with glasses.

Isn't she married to that bald 10-pin who used to work for SI?

That she is Uncle. The incident was probably from a ways back.

P.S.- Rushin has never been described better.

There's no truth to the stalking nonsense. It was made up by a bunch of conservative political KO-haters.

Back when KO was still doing the occasional stint on CNN, Lobo was a guest on a segment he did on the anniversary of MTV and its influence on people. I highly doubt she would have agreed to be one of his guests so readily if she was fraidyscared that he was stalking her.

The stalking incident actually happened when he was between jobs. He became convinced he get could Lobo to marry him. She married Rushin instead. He didn't take that decision well at all. Thus ended their friendship. The Jossip stalking story is true, the timing however was incorrect.Notice once again that Olbermann didn't correct it or sue over it. You can't sue when something is true now can you? Really, I know his fan base is deeply disturbed but you need to realize that Olbermann is even nuttier than you are.
