So we've come to the Apex of our night. The Dunk Contest.

Charles is in the Booth!

She's finally come to grips with it.

So the NBA has denied Dwight Howard's 12-Foot 360.......let's see what we get instead. The new rules are in effect.....let's do this!

Ty Thomas up first.......let's not break an ankle. Looks like he's trying to do a 360-Alley Oop and put his arm in the rim. He finally settles on a between the legs off the backboard....Kenny did this dunk in 1942.

Gerald Green up next. He gets Paul Pierce to throw it off the side of the backboard and a two-hand windmill!!!!! Hot Damn!

Dwight Howard up. Just does the windmill......pretty boring. Think I saw Bobby Flay give him a seven.

Let's see if the Nate Robinson Rule comes into play for Nate Robinson. Three line toss......and a hell of a throwdown.

"Michael's a tough grader"- KH
"Michael's the Russian judge"- KS

48, 45, 43, 38 are your scores. Green, Robinson, Howard, Thomas

Mike is tough on the scorecard....and I like it. Screw the automatic 50.

"I can't believe that Swimsuit Issue is a number 1 seller"- CB
"Why can't you believe that?"- KS
"That's what you call sarcasm"- CB

Ty Thomas does a boring dunk....barely clears Ben Gordon......and breaks the net. Some random dude puts on some Newman gloves and fixes the net. You're done Ty Thomas! Good Riddance.

Holy cow! Dwight Howard puts a sticker at the TOP of the backboard, and gets nothing on the scorecard! That's a travesty! Good lord that was awesome.

David Lee as a prop......that was a boring dunk from Nate Robinson, and this thing is officially rigged. That was crap. That's easier than throwing the ball to yourself.

Hahahaha.......Paul Pierce breaks out a cardboard cutout of Nate Robinson for Gerald Green to dunk over! Nate plays along and replaces the cutout with himself, and he covers his head with his shirt. Green breaks out the Dee Brown and just destroys that dunk!!!! This is getting good.

"That dunk is Grandmamas Kool-Aid.....it's Sweeeeeeet!"- KS

Nate Robinson is going first in the Finals.......He grabs the rim, and dunks it. I did that in middle school.

Puffy yawns at that one.....I have no idea what that dunk even was? That was boring Gerald.....I'm disappointed.

"He's got David Lee involved in this dunk somehow"- KS
David Lee is in his warmups standing off of the court.
"Oh No he's not"- KS

"He's not a skyer....he's a runner jumper"- Magic

Nate Robinson is testing the "Nate Robinson Rule", and the Spurs Coyote is crying. Finally got it on his 10th try and gets all 8s and a 9 from Doc J.

GET THE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Tens as Mike Jordan finally gives a ten. His first dunk was a hell of a lot better.

Gerald Green wins it, and I finally get a prediction right.

Michael Jordan is being a dick just for the sake of being a dick. I love it. I'm waiting for him to give someone a 3.

Also, I would like to thank Jason Kapono for putting $27.68 in my pocket. Go white boy, go white boy, go!

The judges are just being haters now. I want a sticker!

I wish the judges would shut up! Their incessant yappering detracts from the buildup to the dunk.

That's a bunch of bullshit against Dwight Howard. That's all that is.

Hating on the big man.

You know, for a contest that has had a been there, done that feeling for about eight years, this dunk contest is pretty damn good. The props are outstanding.

...and now I see a Nate Robinson cardboard cutout. Tremendous.

+10 to Gerald Green for using the real Nate Robinson.

They're into it this year! I'm having fun now. Leave it to the judges to ruin it. Let all 4 go to the finals.

Are you going to live blog the SI swimsuit special?

Sam is correct.

Imagine how much better Green vs. Howard would have been.

Damn I should do that HC.

Sweet. The Celtics win something this year!

While I'm glad that Gerald Green won, that Dwight Howard dunk with the sticker was very creative. The use of props add a fun factor to it.

Watching Nate Robinson miss all those dunks at the end and run out of energy was a bit anti-climactic, though.

The crappy part is, it was actually a really, really good dunk when he finally pulled it off.

If you need two full minutes, you shouldn't be attempting it in the first place. One minute would be more than sufficient.

How in the heck did Nate Robinson beat out Dwight Howard in round 1?? Granted, Robinson's first dunk was sweet, but the second one was awful.

I really enjoyed the Howard sticker.
